Yo Keoni,
Pretty much rockies has been fun. These Russ Hoytes are sick, this eyeball board is a Proton twist. Really explosive on the lip.

As we strive to push our equipment into the world of advanced performance, we also look to re-define what that means to the stand-up surfer. At this point, the Paha exemplifies what we consider the cutting edge of performance surfing. The bottom design marries a definite “V” with a slight concave and a double barrel off the fins. This board wants to ride like a performance short board; drives hard, converts from rail to rail quickly and will really surprise you off the top. If you want to expand your stand-up surfing horizons, this is the board.
9’ 1” x 28 1/2” x 3 7/8” (Twin w/trailer, 2 + 1, Quad - Fin Setup Options)
Surf Range: 160 lbs to 210 lbs – Intermediate to Advanced

The Welo is another specialized design aimed at satisfying a wide range of riders. For the beginning paddler this board provides the satiability needed while allowing for improved performance. This is another one that seems to suit the smaller gals; an easy paddler in a compact size. It’s also very well suited for the somewhat heavier rider that has gained a degree of skill (especially in the surf). Whatever your demands, be sure to check out the Welo before making any final decisions.
9’ 6” x 29 3/4” x 4” (2 + 1 Fin Setup)
Paddle Range: 110 lbs to 190 lbs – Beginner to Intermediate
Surf Range: 165 lbs to 210 lbs – Intermediate to Advanced

The Wai Kahe – Here’s the Welo’s baby brother; more of the same, just a smaller package. This is personal favorite for the surf. Great all around performance with the added bonus of comfortable stability while you’re at it! Really fun little board in a huge range of surf conditions.
9’ 2” x 29” x 4” (Twin w/trailer, 2 + 1, Quad – Fin Setup Options)
Paddle Range: 110 lbs to 175 lbs – Beginner to Advanced
Surf Range: 160 lbs to 210 lbs Intermediate to Advanced

The Pokole – This is another in keeping with the Wai Kahe and Welo. The reduction in length allows the board to fit the needs of an even smaller rider while still providing those characteristics that have made this line of boards so popular.
8’ 10” x 28 1/2” x 3 7/8” ( 2 + 1 Fin Setup).
Available in two colors.
Paddle Range: 100 lbs to 175lbs – Beginner to Advanced
Surf Range: 150 lbs to 210 lbs – Intermediate to Advanced
In Daniel’s older brothers words………..”Daniel difinately came out of his shell for this trip. I was blown away by his badckside tuberiding . I had to talk him into this trip because he wanted to come to indo to surf a left. I told him he could surf the left later. The board he’s riding here is the same one he rode last time we got this wave – nine years ago. It’s been sitting in my closet all this time. Daniel was just killing it. And just for all of us to be out there together – no one else the whole time – the same crew that scored it the first time almost a decage ago……it was pretty amazing!”

“I’m absolutely stoked,” said Rawson. “Brewer mentored me, so to win this event shaping one of his classic guns, with Dick here to help judge it, it’s absolutely fantastic. To shape with this great grouping of friends, all of whom respect and appreciate RB’s expertise, well, it has been a wonderful weekend for all involved.”
This July, Team Rider Keoni Jones got some rippable waves in Indo. All the driving and plane rides to get to Lakey Peak and West Java paid off.

1st Annual Marin Parks Stand Up Paddle Race – Aug 16
Closed Published by jim September 17th, 2009 in Uncategorized
There were only five contestants, but to Adam Craig it was a great start. Adam’s a park ranger with the County of Marin parks department. He came up with the idea for the stand-up paddle board race and organized the event.
“I had seen lots of stand-up paddlers here for the last couple of years, and it’s started to grow and grow and grow, said Craig as he watched the paddlers, “It just seemed like a good idea for us–not having really a place for a surf contest–so stand-up paddle boards are ideal. The beauty of paddle boarding is that anybody can do it, young, old. Having some kind of swimming experience is a good idea, but anyone can do it.”
